ಇಂದು ಮದುವೆಯ ಹಬ್ಬ,ನಾಳೆ ವೈಕುಂಠ ತಿಥಿ,

ಇಂದು ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನ ಸುಖ, ನಾಳೆ ಭಿಕ್ಷಾನ್ನ  |

ಇಂದು ಬರಿ ಉಪವಾಸ ನಾಳೆ ಪಾರಣೆ -ಯಿಂತು,

ಸಂದಿರುವುದನ್ನ ಋಣ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

Marriage today,funeral tomorrow 

Royal buffet today,begging tomorrow |

Fasting today, feasting tomorrow
